Typhoon Lekima, which is equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, will be the first of the typhoons to make landfall in the coming days. Lekima was briefly a super typhoon at midweek. So far the main impacts from Lekima, which is still over open water, have been rough seas, churned up from northern Luzon to Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands.
